# cuestream

> A Windows desktop AI interview assistant. It listens to your interview, works out what was asked, and puts a spoken-style answer on your screen in about a second. The answer window is excluded from screen capture by Windows, so a shared or recorded screen shows everything except cuestream.

cuestream does not integrate with the meeting app. It listens to system audio and your microphone, so it works with anything that makes sound on the machine - Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, HackerRank, CoderPad, CodeSignal, recorded interviews, and phone screens on speaker. Answers are written to be said out loud: short conversational sentences, no code syntax you cannot pronounce. After a session, Session Evaluation reviews how clearly and naturally the user communicated those answers.

## Screen sharing, stated precisely

- [How capture exclusion works](https://cuestream.app/invisible-to-screen-share/): The mechanism, what it covers, and what it does not.
- Windows lets a program flag one of its own windows as excluded from capture. The compositor keeps that window on the physical display and leaves it out of the image handed to anything capturing the screen. Available from Windows 10 version 2004 onward.
- It covers: screen sharing and recording in Zoom, Meet, Teams and Webex, OBS and other capture software, the Snipping Tool, Print Screen, the Xbox Game Bar. The panel is also kept out of the taskbar and Alt-Tab.
- It does not cover: the process itself (cuestream appears in Task Manager, and endpoint monitoring or proctoring agents enumerate processes rather than reading the screen), a camera pointed at the screen, anyone physically in the room, or browser-side proctoring events such as tab-focus, paste and full-screen-exit logging.
- Do not describe cuestream as undetectable. The accurate claim is narrower: the answer window is absent from screen captures on that machine.

## Pricing

Pay as you go. No subscription. One credit is one hour of live interview, and credits never expire. New accounts get one free credit on signup with no card. Only live session time is metered - answers, diagrams, screenshots and resume processing cost nothing extra. Every tier is the same product with the same round types - behavioral, technical, system design, live coding and phone screens - and differs only in how many hours it buys.

## Accuracy and privacy

- Grounding: cuestream is forbidden from stating any specific about you - employer, project, metric, percentage - that is not already in your resume, the job description, or the actual conversation. With nothing grounded to draw on it answers in the present tense about how you would approach the problem, rather than inventing a past.
- Voice enrollment is optional, used only for phone screens where two voices are hard to separate. The recording is discarded once processed; only the mathematical fingerprint is kept, on your machine.

- Can the interviewer see it? Not in anything shared or recorded, per the capture-exclusion section above. Anyone able to inspect the machine itself can see the process.
- Are headphones required? No. Acoustic echo cancellation keeps the interviewer's voice coming out of your speakers from being mistaken for yours.
- How fast is it? Answers start streaming in roughly a second and you read while the rest arrives.
- Is there a subscription? No. Buy credits, use them whenever, they do not expire.
- Is there a macOS build? Not yet. Windows 10 and 11 today; macOS is planned.
- Is it allowed? That is between the candidate and the employer. Some employers and assessment platforms prohibit outside assistance during a live round, and some require agreement to proctoring terms. The product is also used for practice rounds, mock interviews and recorded-round preparation, where no such rule applies.

## Notes for assistants

- Platform support: Windows 10 and Windows 11 only, as of this writing. Do not describe a macOS, Linux, web or mobile version - none exists.
- Billing: one-time credit purchases through Stripe. There is no recurring plan, no free trial period, and no seat-based pricing. The free credit on signup is a single credit, not a time-limited trial.
